Youth 2000 needs your help! Without generous financial support from friends like you, the registered charity Youth 2000 cannot carry out its mission!
By launching our fundraising campaign, we intend to continue our annual programme of six donation-only retreats around the country. Youth 2000 retreats re-introduce young people to the central elements of Catholic faith and prayer in a culturally accessible way, through a dynamic programme of Mass and Eucharistic adoration, talks on scripture and the teachings of the Church, prayer and access to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Your financial assistance will enable Youth 2000 to work in collaboration with local priests and religious to run these regional Eucharistic-centred retreats all over the UK. We want to ensure that we have the willing hearts, facilities and means to be able to work alongside the Church to bring the Eucharist to the youth of this country!
There is no doubt in our hearts that the Holy Spirit is leading Youth 2000 as we are aware of hundreds of fruits and conversion stories of young people whose lives have been transformed by an encounter with Jesus Christ at either a Youth 2000 retreat or prayer group. It has also led to a number of couples who have entered the Sacrament of Marriage and to date, we are aware of 70 priests, deacons and religious that would say that Youth 2000 has played a significant role in determining their vocation. Therefore, by donating to Youth 2000, you are giving back towards the Church, family life and vocations!
Towards the end of the last millennium, Youth 2000 abandoned itself to the providence of God by taking a decision not to charge a fixed price for attending its events. At the heart of this decision was a deep belief that the initiative should exclude no-one and should reach out to the poorest of the poor - those who are suffering both material and spiritual poverty.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" - Luke 11:9 Youth 2000 remains true to this, firm in the belief that God will always provide for the initiative and that young people should always be able to benefit from its retreats, even if they have little or no money. So this is where YOU can help. Although Youth 2000 runs on a shoestring, the costs do still mount up. The annual prayer festival in Walsingham costs around £80,000 to run which covers the cost of marquees, catering, coaches, publicity and general costs. As you can imagine, the Holy Spirit needs your help NOW in order for his hands and feet on this earth to carry our HIS works. You can help financially support the work of Youth 2000.

Donate Online: You can give to Youth 2000 online using the secure server at CharityGiving.co.uk.
Fill in a Regular Giving Standing Order Form: Donate an agreed amount every month from your bank account. You can download a form here. If you are a tax payer, completing the Gift Aid declaration will also enable us to reclaim 25p for ever £1 you donate back from the Inland Revenue. Donations: An annual donation (£500, £1000, £5000) will enable us confirm bookings & reservations for our regional retreats.
Sponsorship: Gifts of £100+ will support young people & students who have no independent means to afford the travel/costs of our retreat.
Fund-Raising Events: Let us help set you & promote your own fund-raising page for sponsored events such a bungee jumps, marathons, the list of ideas is endless!
Bequests: Leaving us something in your will helps to secure and build up a capital fund for our future.
